In the face of the COVID-19 pandemic, many in the insurance industry are changing how business is transacted and some are offering concessions to policyholders. CWA is no different; we’re working remotely, we’re working on our phone system to better serve you, and have you heard we’re accepting online payments?
The carriers we represent are offering up changes to policyholders as well. Below are only some of the changes being implemented. Please contact our office to see if your insured needs to a make any changes as none of these are automatic.
Hired & Non-Owned Auto Coverage (HNOA): Are your policyholders suddenly delivering their goods? Some carriers are offering short term HNOA coverage for eligible businesses.
Reduced Exposures: Many businesses are simply losing revenue during this time. Typically, many carriers are not willing to reduce rating basis’ like payroll or gross receipts mid-term, however these restrictions are being relaxed. Policyholders may be able to change these figures and get some premium relief.
Inspection Requirements: With social distancing in full swing, many in-person transactions are being postponed or changed to video-conferencing. Many carriers are relaxing inspection requirements or guidelines imposed during the inspection process.
Non-Payment & DNOC: Some carriers are relaxing payment terms and DNOC requirements for policyholders affected by COVID-19.
Contact our office to learn more about these changes. We are here, ready and willing to help you any way we can.
